without chaos or strife

seems so little to ask 

 

a cloudy day or sunshine

does it matter

 

on cold cloudy days

fire in the hearth

a roaring blaze

come warm you heart

 

open your embrace

hold me close

kiss my face

give me a hug

 

not too much to ask

in a peaceful place

 

old friendships grow stronger

traverse the long road

sad journey to make alone

waiting for the big black hearse

 

destination

the same for everyone

the choice is simple

made easier through peace

 

play by the rules

deal fair

don’t cheat

give more than is asked
